STEM development & innovation…

Enthuse Science Partnership:

HEART leads an established Enthuse Science Partnership, funded through Enthuse, and focused on effective science provision and transition within UKS2 & KS3. Partnership with the University of Manchester, Dr Lynne Bianchi and SEERIH ensure that our research base is a wide one…

We are currently working to establish the Bolton Science Leaders’ Innovation Hub.

Mastery & Deep Learning in Maths

NCETM Mastery Work Group:

HEART are members of the NCETM Mastery Work Group led by St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Withnell.

The research focus is on Mastery Maths strategies and development of deep learning in Maths.

Justice & Community

International Research Visit:

We are members of the National School of Formation.

Our Headteacher recently took part in an EducareM research project in Manila, Philipines. The research focused on the application of Catholic Social Teaching, and activism for social justice, and centred around the work of St Scholastica’s College and other organisations.

SSAT Primary Network & Strategic Advisory Board

We are active members of the SSAT Primary Network and our Headteacher sits on the Primary Advisory Board.

Our UKS2 staff have been involved in research based on the work of Professor John Hattie – the Visible Classrooms Project.
