EducareM: Building The Kingdom 2018-19
Building the Kingdom (BTK) is an opportunity to review how your own bespoke curriculum mapping reinforces Catholic Social Teaching & SMSC, and is authentically distinctive. We explore the big questions of purpose and meaning that arise throughout the Liturgical year, and provide delegates with the building blocks to engage students with the skills needed to be agents for a Spirit fuelled transformation of society.
Delegates will work with a team of experienced curriculum developers, including Sister Judith Russi SSMN and members of the National School of Formation, to consider approaches that will promote critical and higher order thinking skills across the curriculum. You will develop a wide range of creative strategies for moving learning into action, faith in action; and will be supported as you enable students to develop their advocacy skills for change for those in the greatest need in society.
Our BTK programmes are suitable for both those who have participated during the pilot year, and those new to Building the Kingdom.
Delegates are invited to both programmes A & B which focus on different aspects of curriculum:
BTK PART A | PRIMARY SCHOOL DELEGATES | 11SEP2018 | 28JAN2019 | 4APRIL2019 | £350 PER DELEGATE
This aspect of BTK focuses on the Liturgical year as a resource to support your R.E. delivery, complimenting your current R.E. scheme of work.
BTK PART B | CROSS PHASE DELEGATES | 30OCT2018 | 29JAN2019 | 10MAY2019 | £350 PER DELEGATE
This programme reinforces and extends that already delivered in the pilot year, and focuses delegates on wider curriculum opportunities to reinforce SMSC and Catholic Social Teaching across a range of subject areas, thereby contextualising learning in line with the mission of a Catholic school.
BOTH PACKAGES AVAILABLE AT A COMBINED DISCOUNTED RATE OF £650
TWO DELEGATES FROM THE SAME SCHOOL, ON THE SAME PROGRAMME – £325 PER DELEGATE
To be paid in advance.
